Reno began building hot rods and custom bikes as a teenager in Beauceville, Canada in the early '70s. At an early age, he showed an interest in mechanical design and components. Gagnon is one of only a handful of Canadian rodders who have helped to set a trend for other rod builders.
Reno is an innovative leader. His valuable insight is evident in the new street rod philosophy. "Change is often scary", he said, "but in the world we live in, change is one of the few things you can count on".
Reno has a complex personality a wide range of interests and strongly held opinions. His personality can even seem contradictory at times. Early on in life, however, he developed an admirable work ethic and a desire to improve the technology of the rod industry! |

Why 1st generation...
The 1st Coast to Coast car the Gagnon team had developed was not designed to be manufactured. The mold did not work well and the car was difficult to assemble and disassemble.
10 car of the 1st generation were produced and sold. |
The demand was so great that Coast to Coast decided to hire the Gagnon team to built 2 generation Coast to Coast. The Gagnon team had made many improvements to the mold and to the body line, They had cut the manufacturing process in half.
(Thank-you Coast to Coast for developing our design, and giving us the opportunity to be well know). This 39 ford concept was a huge success |
